After attending a class at a local animal shelter this weekend, I felt as though I had a bit of a set back in my grief recovery. Alas, look at what crystals I was drawn to once again. In addition to creating awareness to Copper Storage Disease and supporting research, creating these bespoke sun catchers is helping me deal with my loss and sharing Max with you.
This particular sun catcher captures moodiness in the dark crystal hues, sparkle, brilliance, and a slight pop of purple in the grayish-purple crystals. It’s definitely moody and pretty much how I felt as I created it. Tears one moment and smiles the next. The cultured pearls envelop the heart paw bead.
All sun catchers measure approximately 6 inches in length. A paw print bead (in either gold or silver which is depicted in photos) is added to every piece. My photography has much to be desired as I can’t capture the brilliance of my sun catchers, but the end goal is what this is all about; bringing attention and supporting research for Copper Storage and liver disease in animals.
My sun catchers are created to remind us of our beloved pets whether here on this earth or if they have crossed to the beyond. May each sparkle bring a smile to the recipients face and conjure up happy memories.
Proceeds with be given to research for Copper Storage Disease and liver disorders in animals. I create one sun catcher per day in memory of my Max and will continue to do so as long as I can bring awareness to Copper Storage Disease.
SAFETY REMINDER: Sun catchers are not toys. Keep away from children and pets as they could cause injury or choke hazards. They are meant to be displayed in a non-distracting manner in a place to keep little hands or paws away.
